About
Approach
I work alongside leaders to help meet the diversity expectations of themselves, their people, their clients and society.
We know that equity work is incredibly challenging, and we’ve seen the consequences for those that engage in this work half-heartedly. Most importantly, we’ve seen many workplaces pull ahead when they prioritize incorporating socially impactful business practices into their identity. On a personal note, many of us have experienced firsthand what the lack of inclusion and representation can feel like in the workplace and the decline in engagement that follows. While others may have not had to grapple with the sense of not belonging, they can appreciate the challenges of others and want to serve as allies to build a more inclusive culture. I’m here to build the leadership capacity of my clients in this evolving space critical to success as an employer and service provider of choice now and well into the future.
I approach engagements with a strategic, operational lens. I’m straightforward, actionable and excited to design workplaces for the future.
This work will continue long after our partnership, but not before I equip you to do the work - to ask hard questions, grapple with uncomfortable answers, implement proven tactics and ultimately experience the benefits of a stronger culture and more engaged and innovative workforce. Transformation can’t wait. Let’s get started.

Community and Education
Amie resides in Washington, DC with her husband, rambunctious son and two semi well-behaved rescue dogs. She is active in mutual aid and community support groups in her rapidly gentrifying neighborhood and believes that the greatest equity work we can do is within our home and community. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Human Resources from the University of Virginia and Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business Management from Radford University. Most recently, Amie completed Harvard Kennedy School's Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace Executive Education program that shows leaders how to increase diversity, inclusion, and racial equity for greater organizational effectiveness.
Amie is originally from Hampton Roads, Virginia and thankful for the diversity of perspectives she experienced growing up in a military community. Her experiences working in multiple industries since age 15, spending time with family and friends with vast cultural differences and extensive travels have shaped her outlook on life immensely.
